NHS Prescription Dispensing
SPHN&M Limited is an NHS Community Pharmacy, which means we can dispense all valid NHS prescriptions issued by GP practices, hospitals, dentists and other authorised prescribers across England.
We work with local GP surgeries in Wigston, South Wigston and the wider Leicester area to receive electronic prescriptions (via the Electronic Prescription Service, EPS). This means your prescription can be sent directly to us, saving you time and reducing the risk of lost paper prescriptions.

Repeat Prescriptions & Delivery
We make managing your regular medicines as convenient as possible, with repeat dispensing and a free delivery service for eligible patients in the Wigston area.
Repeat Dispensing
If you take regular medicines, ask your GP about repeat dispensing. We can dispense your prescription in batches so you do not need to order from your surgery every time.
Free Local Delivery
We offer a free prescription delivery service to housebound and vulnerable patients across Wigston, South Wigston and the surrounding LE18 postcode area.
Reminder Service
Sign up for our repeat prescription reminder service and we will notify you when your medicines are due, helping you avoid running out.

Private Prescriptions
In addition to NHS dispensing, SPHN&M Limited can dispense private prescriptions issued by private GPs, consultants, online doctors and other independent prescribers.
Private prescriptions are not subsidised by the NHS, so you will pay the full cost of the medicine plus a professional dispensing fee. We will always quote the price before we dispense so you can make an informed decision.

Medicines Support & Compliance Aids
We offer additional support for patients who need help managing complex medicine regimens.
Multi-Compartment Compliance Aids (MCA)
For patients who take multiple medicines at different times of day, we can supply medicines in a weekly blister pack or dosette box. This helps ensure you take the right medicine at the right time. Our pharmacy team will assess your suitability for this service and liaise with your GP if needed.
New Medicine Service (NMS)
The NMS is a free NHS service for patients starting a new medicine for certain long-term conditions such as asthma, COPD, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure or anticoagulation. Our pharmacist will support you with follow-up consultations to ensure you are getting the most from your treatment.
Medicines Use Review (MUR)
An MUR is a free, confidential consultation with our pharmacist to discuss your regular medicines. We will check that you are taking them correctly, answer your questions and identify any problems. This service is conducted in our private consultation room.
